HABITAT SETS A NEW GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ TITLE FOR ITS CODING PROGRAMME - 2022

Habitat Schools is now on the official Guinness Book of World Records for organizing a massive coding event, ‘Most Users in a Web Development Video Hangout’, anywhere in the world. This is Habitat’s second entry in the Guinness Book.

A total of 2803 grade 4 -12 students from three Habitat Schools, International Indian School, Ajman, Habitat School, al Jurf Ajman and Habitat School, al Tallah Ajman successfully participated in this video hangout, beating the earlier record set in Jamaica by WiPay Jamaica with 542 users. This was the first time a world record attempt was made in the area of coding in India or the Middle East.


HABITAT CREATES A GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ TITLE WITH ITS SEED TO PLANT CAMPAIGN - 2019

Habitat Schools' massive sapling distribution event, "SEED-TO-PLANT" with the tagline, "spreading care" achieved a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the 'Largest distribution of Saplings', in one venue on 30 April 2019. The final count of the saplings distributed was 9371.

Out the number distributed, 6000 saplings were to Ajman Municipality to be planted in different areas of various emirates over time. Students from three Habitat Schools, International Indian School, Ajman, Habitat School, al Jurf Ajman and Habitat School, al Tallah Ajman participated in the event.


HABITAT RECEIVES AJMAN AGRICULTURAL AWARD - 2019

Habitat School, Al Jurf Ajman was honored with Ajman Agriculture Award on 25th February 2019 for being the Best School amongst all the private schools in the Emirate of Ajman practicing Farming activities.

The award was handed over by H.H.Sheikh Abdul Aziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Land and Property Department and His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi - the Minister of Climate Change and Environment.


HABITAT CONFERRED WITH LEGACY AWARD - 2017

Habitat School al Jurf Ajman was awarded the ‘Legacy Award’, of the ‘Grow your Food’ campaign, in the school category. The award, instituted by Dubai Municipality is recognition of the school's continued efforts in creating a sustainable model of natural farming.

The award ceremony was held at the Radisson Blu, Creek Hotel Dubai on 21 May 2017.


April 2017

Habitat Group of Schools won the INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS RELIABILITY AWARD, instituted by Reporter TV Channel, for its performance in 2016 for INNOVATION IN EDUCATION. The shortlisting was done at Middle East level and Habitat received the award for being the first to introduce, a full-fledged farming programme in the Gulf region in its schools and also an innovative technology friendly initiative called the Cyber Square. The award ceremony was held at Taj Dubai on 30 March 2017. The award committee described Habitat initiatives in glowing words, saying that, Habitat is a wonder in the desert and has changed the educational scenario in the region. Habitat provides international levels of facilities while at the same time being conscious of maintaining affordability, so that most middle income families are able to access quality education. Dr. Thomas Isaac, the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coir, Government of Kerala, while distributing the award stated “This is an inspiring educational experiment. I would have loved to visit”. Hearty congratulations to our beloved students and parents, the Corporate team, all our Principals, Vice-Principals, Supervisors, HOD's, Mentors, teachers, support teams, consultants associated with Habitat Group and well-wishers for making this possible. A special thanks is due to the team members who are associated with the farming programme at our schools.


July 2015

Habitat School, Ajman has joined the Dubai Cares Charity project by donating prize money the school received for the Grow Your Own Food Award, for being the best performing private school in natural farming, along with the money earned by selling around 750 kilogram of fresh vegetables cultivated and sold by the school community. Students of Habitat School, Amal Shibu and Fathima Qureshi accompanied by the Vice Principal of the school Mr. Ashok Tiwari and Science teacher Ms. Safia Begum went to the

Dubai Cares office and handed over the cheque which included the prize money and a portion of the earnings of the natural farm which came from the sale of papaya, tomato, green chilli, strawberry, drumstick, brinjal, potato, cucumber and lady finger to members of the school community.
Ms. Nadia Kamber, Fundraising Manager, received the cheque on behalf of Dubai Cares.


March 2015

The Habitat School, Ajman has been selected for the"Grow Your Food" Award for the best performing school in natural farming among all the private schools in the United Arab Emirates.

The award has been instituted by the Dubai Municipality, in association with Jaleel Holdings and Eastern Condiments, as part of its Grow Your Food campaign. Award carries 5,000 dirhams, a trophy and a citation.
